New Features and Improvements

[+] Add-ons: The Google reCAPTCHA add-on was introduced to improve anti-bot validation.

[+] Core: Upgrade: The ability to upgrade a store via console was implemented.

[+] Hooks: Design: Backend: New hooks were added to the templates of the Administration panel to allow modifying the sidebars.

[+] Hooks: Shipping methods: Package info: Hooks that can affect the package information were added.

[+] Shipping methods: Australia Post: The ability to calculate package cost based on the dimensions of the largest parcel was added.

[+] Shipping methods: UPS: The list of available pickup and package types was updated.

Functionality Changes

[*] Add-ons: Customers also bought: The most purchased products now appear first in the “Also bought” block.

[*] Add-ons: PayPal payments: The default value of the “Order status on partial refund” setting is now “Do not change”. Effective for new 4.4.3 installations; those who upgrade from earlier versions are not affected by this change.

[*] Core: File changes detector: Added folders now appear collapsed in the tree instead of being expanded.

[*] Core: Mailer: The PHPMailer library was updated to version 5.2.22.

[*] Orders: Sales reports: The “Total” line was removed from the “Categories sales” report.

[*] Upgrade Center: Migrations: When a migration can’t be completed, the store upgrade is now stopped, and the technical details are displayed.

Bugfixes

[!] Add-ons: Call requests: Design: Bright theme: Disabling the “Call requests” add-on caused problems with the way the header was displayed. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: Call requests: Design: Cart block: The “Call requests” block could appear above the “Cart content” block. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: Call requests: The position of the buttons on the product details page changed slightly after pressing the “Add to cart” button. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: Call requests: Design: Under some circumstances the title of the “Buy now with 1-click” popup wasn’t displayed. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: Google Analytics: A PHP notice was generated after the order status was changed. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: Newsletters: Subscribers: Search: Searching subscribers by the “Confirmed” field didn’t work properly. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: Newsletters: When a customer was added to a mailing list shared among storefronts 2 and 3, that customer was deleted from the mailing list shared among storefronts 1 and 2. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: SEO: All the generated 301 redirects led to non-secure (i.e. HTTP) URLs even when the secure connection was enabled for the full site. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: SEO: When changing a parent object for many objects at once, some child objects were skipped and their SEO names weren’t updated automatically. Fixed.

[!] Add-ons: Vendor’s terms and conditions: Gift certificates: When purchasing a gift certificate without any products, vendor’s terms and conditions still appeared at checkout. Fixed.

[!] Blocks: Product filters: Templates for the “Product filters” and “Product filters for home page” blocks couldn’t be added via an add-on. Fixed.

[!] Checkout: Payment methods: Disabling a payment method while a customer was on the payment method selection step could lead to error 403, even if the customer refreshed the page. Fixed.

[!] Core: A fatal error was caused due to incompatibility with PHP 7.1. Fixed.

[!] Core: Add-ons: Dependencies on add-ons that were absent from the “app/addons” directory weren’t checked. Fixed.

[!] Core: AJAX: Blocks loaded via AJAX could be reloaded incorrectly, when not formatted properly. Fixed.

[!] Core: File changes detector: The color of highlighting for changed files didn’t fit the legend. Fixed.

[!] Core: Images: Thumbnails: If the generation of a thumbnail failed, the HTTP request could lead to an endless loop. Fixed.

[!] Core: Links to the administration panel had wrong URLs, when generated from the customer area. Fixed.

[!] Core: Multi-Vendor: Orders: Updating a non-parent order with the “fn_update_order” function marked that order as a parent order. Fixed.

[!] Core: There was a typo in the fn.init.php file in “Tygh::$app[‘cache’]”. Fixed.

[!] Core: Thumbnails: Thumbnails could be generated on the fly even if “lazy_thumbnails” in config.local.php was set to false. Fixed.

[!] Design: Layouts: Export/Import: When importing a layout, the store logo and the favicon were always replaced with the default ones. Fixed.

[!] Design: Menu: Text links: A menu didn’t expand on a tablet if the menu block used the “Text links” template and had the “Show items inline” setting turned on. Fixed.

[!] Design: Themes: Basic: Clicking on a filter in the Basic theme could lead to a JS error. Fixed.

[!] Design: Themes: Bright: Category page: The product name area could be narrower than the width of the product image when a product had a long name. Fixed.

[!] Multi-Vendor: Products: Add-ons: Tags: A Smarty error could occur when creating a new product while the “Tags” add-on was active. Fixed.

[!] Multi-Vendor: Promotions: When purchasing products from multiple vendors in at once, the “Once per customer” condition applied and made the bonus apply only to one of the suborders. Fixed.

[!] Multi-Vendor: Wrong text was used to display the Terms and Conditions when applying for a vendor account. Fixed.

[!] Orders: Profile fields: Custom profile fields appeared in the order information even if they weren’t filled in. Fixed.

[!] Orders: Promotions: Cart promotions with the “Discount on product” bonus were processed incorrectly when they were applied during order editing. Fixed.

[!] Product options: The “File” and “Checkbox” type options didn’t work together properly, if the checkbox was a required option. When a customer uploaded the file first and ticked the checkbox afterwards, the file wasn’t saved. Fixed.

[!] Products: Add-ons: Attachments: A direct URL of a disabled or deleted attachment returned a blank page instead of “404 Not Found”. Fixed.

[!] Products: Features: A product feature could appear on the product editing page even if that feature wasn’t available for that product. Fixed.

[!] Products: Features: Product editing: The number of items per page on the “Features” tab on the product editing page wasn’t saved. Fixed.

[!] Products: Filters: When multiple filter variants were selected, another wrong filter was added automatically. Fixed.

[!] Products: Product tabs: Inline scripts were not executing if the tab was loaded from a block. Fixed.

[!] Products: Search: The sorting order and number of items per page could be reset to default when selecting one of the filter variants. Fixed.

[!] Profile fields: The data in custom profile fields wasn’t saved after a customer used guest checkout and created an account. Fixed.

[!] REST API: Orders: Customer’s payment information was provided via REST API. Fixed.

[!] Shipping methods: Getting a carrier information caused a store crash on some versions of PHP 5.3. Fixed.

[!] Themes: Settings overrides: Overwritten settings values were displayed as they were stored in the database. Fixed.

[!] Themes: Settings overrides: When cloning a theme, settings overrides were not present in the cloned theme. Fixed.

[!] Upgrade center: Child themes were not upgraded at all, even when present in an upgrade package. Fixed.

[!] Widget mode: JS: Add-ons: Comments and reviews: Clicking on a product rating didn’t scroll the page to the list of reviews. Fixed.

[!] Widget mode: JS: The popup content didn’t appear if Bootstrap 3 was used on the page that included the widget. Fixed.

[!] Widget mode: The widget didn’t work when embedding on sites using RequireJS. Fixed.
